Aims
- Discuss the clinical differences that help you diagnose lesions,
- Learn appropriate terminology,
- Understand the patient pathway from diagnosis to oral rehab.
Outcomes
- Develop a system to diagnose and teach, gain confidence when discussing management with a patients
- Gain confidence in treating pre or post op oral cancer patients
- Be able to write a succinct high quality referral.
Eiling Wu Bio
Eiling Wu is an Oral and Maxillofacial Consultant.
She completed her medical degree in 2002. Working as a general surgical registrar gave her to the opportunity to be a charity expedition medic and work abroad in rural settings. Living and working abroad has given her a wider healthcare perspective. She did her first dental extraction when working in a cottage hospital in Tanzania for 3 months.
After finishing dental school in 2013 and a year of VT she began her specialist higher surgical training in OMFS. During this time her PGCE helped her write and edit an MFDS OSCE book.
Her most recent publications have taken a look at trauma outcomes.
She currently works in Glasgow specialising in Head and Neck cancer and Trauma.
